Swadhyaya "The Work"

The Devotional Associates of Yogeshwar (D.A.Y.) USA inspired by Revered Pandurangshastri Athavale, is a spiritual, cultural, educational and philosophical not for profit organization in the USA. D.A.Y. is also a part of a global philosophical-cultural group known as Swadhyaya (meaning ‘study of self’ in Sanskrit), Parivar (family) with sister organizations in Canada, UK and several other countries. Swadhyaya is a devotion-based initiative that originated nearly 80 years ago in India.

Swadhyaya is neither a movement, nor an organization, neither a sect nor a creed. It is a process of self-development which shows a novel approach / understanding towards human life and its relationship with God almighty, humanity and the universe. Rational understanding of indwelling presence of God in every human being is central to the philosophy of Revered Athavale.

In general, we strive for ‘family’ values such as selfless love and selfless work, self-respect, affection, cooperation and gratefulness. As a result, numerous communities have realized a true environment of brotherhood under the fatherhood of God.

Holistic Touch

DAY focuses on self-development with a novel approach / understanding towards human life, morality, and recognizing the strenght and bond within society. Through this it is working towards strenthening the bond of universal brotherhood.

सर्वस्य चाहं हृदि सन्निविष्टो… (Bhagvad Gita Ch. 15 Shlok 15)

Sarvasya Chaaham Hrudi Sannivishto… (Bhagvad Gita Ch. 15 Shlok 15)

The concept of indwelling God is easy to say, “ God within me is within others”, however difficult to bring into practice. Dadaji has inspired millions to practice this philosophy through selfless devotional visits or Bhav Ferri.

These Bhav Ferri visits are visits with no expectations and for Swadhyay Pariwar to experience the concept of indwelling God as an applied philosophy.
